With the purpose of encouraging employees to read books, promoting a reading culture, Mektec Vietnam has built library with thousands of books in various topics. 
Understanding the importance of continuous learning and self-development, on 14th May, 2024, MMCV library was officially opened with diverse topics: Specialized books, Self-development books, Children books, Foreign Language books, Parenting books, Soul seeds book and novels. This not only meets the learning and researching demands of employees, but also helps them have a good work-life balance. Mektec is one of many conpanies attending actively in promoting and speading reading culture and continuous learning in the business environment.  
In fact, a large number of books in MMCV library are partly donated by Mr. Shoji Shiga – General Director, partly sponsored by company’s budget, and the rest is contributed by employees. 

The special feature of MMCV Library is that it has a large number of children books. Mr. Shoji Shiga shared that: “In addition to fostering specialized knowledge for employees, paying attention to the spiritual life for children and pregnant women is also important. This is due to the fact that children are the buds of the future”. Beside that, MMCV library also contains many books specializing in teaching children. These books can help parents enhance their knowledge, management skills to teach their children effectively. This not only brings direct advantages for families but also improves work-life balance for employees. 
                                                                                                Maintaining the reading culture of employees
With the purpose of ensuring that everyone can access to library, books with similar contents are arranged in the bookshelves respectively. Library is located in the most accessible place at Mektec – Canteen.
After 2 months of implementation, the number of books have risen from 500 books to approximately 1000 books with various types of books. The books added to the library are based on the following criterias: conducting a survey of the needs of staff, prioritizing books related to knowledge and skills that need to be trained for employees, etc. At the same time, the library also regularly encourages employees to continue to contribute and share favorite books as well as remind book borrowing activities.
Reading culture is a long-lasting process, needs the efforts of both employees and company. With practical actions, company and employees can develop a reading culture together, thereby enhance the quality of human resources, and thus promoting organizational development.
