Mektec’s canteen is recognized as one of the model standard canteen by Food Safety and Hygiene Department, which is a proud achievement. Not only that, canteen has performed the three-step food inspection regime and stores food samples according to regulations, and regularly monitors food safety practices throughout the process of importing, storing, preparing, processing, and using.
The canteen always uses guaranteed food, transparent origin and food safety is always a priority. In addition, the factory has reviewed the clean water system, tested every 6 months to comply with regulations and water quality standards. Attention is paid to hygiene, scientific and reasonable arrangement of areas along with drainage and wastewater treatment systems to ensure regulations.

Over the years, there has been no food poisonous incidents at Mektec, which demonstrates the professionalism and commitment of the supplier in ensuring food safety. Furthermore, the preparation of response plans and organization of food poisoning drills also contribute to raising awareness and skills in handling emergency situations, bringing peace of mind to employees.
During each workshift, the factory provides up to 3 different menus, including rice meals as well as improved meals such as, pho, porridge, seasonal fruit desserts, yogurts, and milk from reputable brands. This helps meet the diverse and rich needs of the menu for employees, avoiding boredom. Furthermore, the factory's board of directors also pays special attention to emploees by adding a special meal once a month. This helps ensure that all emploees enjoy high-quality meals, increasing satisfaction and commitment to the factory.
The factory has also established a canteen patrol team to regularly monitor the quality and hygiene safety in the canteen once a week. The canteen is kept clean through regular 5S cleaning, spraying insecticide twice a month to limit insects, and the canteen area is also equipped with many mosquito traps. The canteen space is designed to be airy and cool, with air conditioners, bringing comfort to workers.
In addition, at Mektec canteen, there is a beverage counter with reasonable prices, a very diverse menu, from fresh fruit juices to delicious cups of coffee, serving a full range of fast food and convenient breakfast dishes such as dumplings, corn, potatoes, sausages, etc. to meet the needs of emploees who want to eat more or have breakfast before starting a new day.
A minishop has also been set up in the canteen space, allowing employees to conveniently shop for necessities. The customer service at the counter is also very good and friendly, helping to increase job satisfaction.
On July 7, 2024, Mektec factory was honored to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit canteen, clearly demonstrating the Government's concern for working conditions and welfare of employees.
