The provision of lactation rooms not only guarantee the best health and nutrition for children, but also help mothers focus on and work more effectively. The design standards of the lactation rooms at Mektec are very comprehensive, from ensuring privacy and comfort, to managing hygiene and usage information. The factory has arranged 4 lactation room spreading across the factory, no more than 05 minutes walk from the working area, very convenient for the movement of female employees who need to use them.
Lactation rooms are fully equipped with equipment such as: Display boards, rooms are covered with curtains to ensure privacy, have electrical outlets, air conditioners, lightings, comfortable chairs, female employees can bring their own milking machines and milk storage tools. Moreover, there is a daily hygiene check list performed by the factory's cleaning staff.
The General Affair (GA) section also focuses on training for employees and newcomers on: instructing them on how to clean milk pumpinp equipment after using or identifying, labeling and storing milk. Employees must always store it in clean and covered containers or specialized milk storage bags, labeling the milk jar or milk storage bag with information: Full name of the female employees, date and time of milk pumping and milk must be stored in the refrigerator according to the instructions attached on the specialized refrigerator.
The GA section has also paid attention to raise awareness of the importance of breastfeeding for female employees, such as on the bulletin board, information is directly posted such as: Benefits of breastfeeding to emphasize the great benefits of breast milk for the development of children, from physical to mental health. Instructions on how to pump and preserve breast milk effectively with detailed instructions on milk pumping techniques, how to store milk properly to maintain nutritional value, as well as how to increase breast milk volume. Female employees know clearly where the lactations room are located, how to get there, and available facilities. Through these communication activities, the company aims to equip female employees with the necessary knowledge and skills so that they can make the best use of the facilities provided, while raising awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding.
